Purposes Of A Medical Officer:
- Patients should feel safe and secure that they are being dealt with in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
- A General Practitioner (GP) is a part of a general practice team for providing culturally appropriate, patient-centered, individual holistic care to defend a population culturally appropriate based on knowledge, skills, family, personal, community-oriented comprehensive is a qualified and registered medical officer.
- Further, the GP works closely and relatively with the nursing team and other medical departments to provide assistance, guidance, and medical support.
A Medical Officer Is Responsible For:
- He is responsible for overall clinical conditions happening ongoing externally and internally.
- Responsible for clinical Director and Supervisor clinical director.
- Responsible for self and other clinical ongoing supervision.
- Day-to-daily practice issues with the practice manager.
Key Tasks Of A Medical Officer:
1. CLINICAL SERVICES
1.1- RESTORING HEALTH:
Providing primary care services are as followed,
- Have to access the severity and urgency of defending and presenting problems through history examination and experiments.
- Work on urgent nursing and medical services that include assessment and stabilization, diagnosis, regular treatment, and referrals if necessary.
- Approach referrals for therapeutic, diagnostic, and support systems if required.
- A medical officer does provide recommendations where necessary, undertakes many treatment options, and carries out appropriate and valid procedures. Including minor surgery, counseling, advising, physiological interventions, and other education and advising.
1.2- MAINTAINING HEALTH:
A medical officer provides culturally appropriate and clinical timely health services through,
- Appropriate risk assessment, disability, early detection of illness, various diseases, and further evidence-based screenings.
- Have ongoing development and health assessments.
- Have usage of reminder systems as referrals or recall in some international programs and meetings.
- Give sexual health advice, family planning, and lifestyle services provided with the provision of contraceptives to patients.
- Working in the field collectively with public health providers with the control and prevention of communicable diseases for families, people, and individuals and further reporting to public clinics and relevant hospitals.
- Use interventions and different other procedures to ensure people, help them, and assist them to reduce or change risky and harmful behavior.
- Have support for ongoing patients from terminal conditions, and chronic diseases to reduce deterioration, reduce suffering linking, and increase independence wherever relevant and appropriate for providing services.
1.3- IMPROVING HEALTH:
A medical officer helps in improving patient health through,
- Counseling and Information provision, Health education, how to prevent diseases and improve your body health-wise, and treatments that treat other risk factors and diseases.
- He also helps in promoting practices enrolled in the population and linking towards public health programs at a local and regional level after utilizing such programs to provide solutions and treatments for such programs after targeting them.
2. FINANCIAL
2-1- FINANCIAL INVOICING:
- Make sure that every patient service is undertaken and is charged with accordance and possible protocol accordingly while invoicing.
- All compliance causes must be given to a patient when he will claim subsidies or money from a registered fund or a hospital fund.
- Helps in assisting a patient with regular information and reporting as required or needed by the patient.
3. PHO MANAGEMENT
3.1- AGE / SEX REGISTRATION:
- He makes sure to enlist patients’ names, his/her sex, and their gender up to date to register them or help them with funding opportunities later on.
3.2- PATIENT PHO ENROLLMENT:
- Supporting and helping out PHO staff and ensuring patients in promoting the benefits after registering in PHO.
4. QUALITY
4.1- CONTINUE OF MEDICAL EDUCATION:
- Maintenance of the professional standard of RNZCGP helps in maintaining the level required for ongoing CME accreditation or courses.
4.2- CLINICAL NOTES:
- Have access to short clinical notes, after the patient visits. His record is recorded within 24 hours.
4.3- AUDIT:
- They participate in practice sessions to improve the quality of work.
- Have practiced in clinical audit to provide indications for other clinical hospitals and administration by RNZCGP.
- In place of practice sessions, you can attend effective event management also.
Qualification And Experience:
