Who Are TGT And SST Teachers? TGT is a word that stands for Trained Graduate Teacher, while SST stands for Student Study Team. TGT is also a title given to those teachers who have completed their education and are likely to enter their field completely. SST is a full form for Secondary school teaching. They are teachers who work in a middle or high school environment or teach administer lessons to students. Criteria Of SST/ TGT Teacher Jobs:

TGT: (Trained Graduate Teacher)

• The applicant’s age must be below 21 before applying to this specific field, If the age is below 21, he would be considered illegible for this field.
• While applying the candidate must be having a bachelor’s degree or BED degree/ BTC degree from a recognized HEC degree.
• A written exam and an interview will be taken from a candidate before applying for this particular post.
• The candidate who is a possible citizen of Pakistan applying to participate in this post within or from Pakistan.
• There is no maximum age limit specified for applying as a TGT teacher, but the age should be beyond 21.
• There is no specified number of attempts mentioned by the law or from the institutional body.
• Have previous experience record as an English teacher.
• Must be knowing various teaching methods.
• Should have a patient and tolerant attitude.
• Dedicated and focused completely on education and students.
• Must have a deep understanding of the national curriculum level and a requirement of the English language.
• Have organizational, exceptional, and communicative skills.
• MSC is a plus and must have a BA / B. ED or BSc in the English language.

SST: (Secondary school teacher)

• The eligibility criteria are decided by the government school and higher secondary board for secondary school teachers and are further announced by the provincial government for twice or once a year.
• The minimum qualification for a secondary school teacher is the required education of 14 years or BA/ BS.C in the relevant field with at least holding second division in it.
• The minimum education criteria are of 16 years of education in MSC/MA/BS(HONS) in the relevant field with second division.
• Education of M. PHIL / MS is an additional point given to apply for this post.

Responsibilities Of TGT And SST:

TGT: (Trained Graduate Teacher)

• Be completely involved in cooperating and teaching students.
• Recording, accessing and reporting further to a supervisor or a parent about a student’s academic report.
• Prepare materials and different activities.
• Teach, facilitate and motivate according to the educational needs of the students.
• Organize coursework and classroom lectures.
• Consult, communicate and provide feedback for every student to give feedback to their parents in PTM and when required.
• Inform every parent individually about their child’s relevant performance.
• Collectively collaborate with teachers and other staff members to foster and create a good student experience.
• Keep an ongoing record of a student’s grade, performance, and attendance.
• Provide graded feedback about your class and your pupil’s behavior to seniors.
• Determine and acknowledge exam grades and students’ attendance.
• Resolve different conflicts in the classroom and maintain positive behavior.
• Research new teaching and language methods.

SST: (Secondary School Teacher)

TEACHING AND ASSEMBLING LEARNING FOR THE SUBJECTS:

• Maintain up-to-date learning for the subject thought.
• Prepare, plan, and deliver activities that are instructional and based on an improved curriculum to facilitate student and their learning.
• Organize your classroom and other institutional rooms to facilitate your students with the best positive learning environment.
• Develop lesson plans and schemes or work.
• Communicate and make your students know of learning objects.
• Grade homework, assignments, classwork, and tests.
• Set homework and make them do classwork that will extend students’ minds, knowledge, and understanding.
• Participate in different arrangements for internal and external examinations.

SCHOOL DISCIPLINE AND STUDENT WELL BEING:

• A teacher has to apply appropriate disciplinary measures to maintain a school environment.
• Implementing and establishing rules and procedures will help in managing a student’s behavior in the school or the classroom.
•  Council and aware students of academic problems.
• An SST teacher should be promoting and safeguard the well-being of students to take appropriate actions to resolve and solve different concerns.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT:

• Have to undergo regular performance appraisal.
• Should be actively taking part in school-based teacher groups or meetings and other professional opportunities.
• Work with colleagues. Share your thoughts, collectively discuss and provide resources and relevant ideas.
• Support, teach, and supervise those teachers who are in their training period.
