Financial Security/Insurance Advisor Job: A financial security or insurance advisor helps clients make financial decisions by providing advice on investments, insurance, and retirement planning. They also help clients achieve their financial goals, such as buying a home or managing their wealth.

“Responsibilities Of The Job”
As a life and health insurance professional, you’re expected to:
- Work as a team as you proactively sell insurance products and services, including life, health, disability and critical illness insurance, based on the needs of Desjardins members and clients.
- Assess client satisfaction and service quality, follow up and make improvements as needed.
- Establish and maintain good relationships with referral sources. Help target and analyze potential member/client files.
- Act on business opportunities and present information to partners so that members and clients can reach their financial goals.
- Help monitor the industry to identify business development opportunities and stay on top of new products and trends.
- Financial needs analysis: Assess a client’s assets, liabilities, tax status, and existing insurance
- Create financial plans: Develop a customized plan for a client’s investments, insurance, and other financial goals
- Provide advice: Offer guidance on a range of topics, including budgeting, investments, and risk management
- Review accounts: Regularly monitor a client’s bank and other accounts to identify changes that may impact their financial goals
- Prepare financial reports: Create or interpret financial documents, such as income projections, investment performance reports, and financial document summaries
- Stay up to date: Keep informed about the latest financial products and benefits
- Communicate with clients: Stay in touch with clients to understand their financial status and address any concerns
“Requirements”
What you bring to the table?
- Knowledge of French is required
- Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- Available to work Monday to Friday including 2 evenings
